Hi everyone!
I'd like us all to take this opportunity to discuss all the stuff bout the "Prime Numbers" at 'One Place'!
It can be any simple or complex observation (like Facts, Properties, Relations, Theorems, Conjectures, Formulae etc etc) by you or somebody else.
Try to make it Simple by using your own words rather just copying/pasting material from somewhere else. Plz put it in an "Easy to Understand" way, even if its a Really Complex thing!
Hi MathIsFun!
I think that you may find the following link to be useful...

LOL!
We know, on the authority of Mouses, that longer than six thousand years the world did not exist.
Let me tell you something that we 'sraelis have against Mouses. (t)He(y) took us 40 years through the desert in order to bring us to the one spot in the Middle East that has no oil!
And Mouses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD: and these are their journeys according to their goings out.
if only we had Mickey Moses.
hi
she is right and her answer is correct.
your's is also fine!!!
i guess somebody might explain to you in detail bout the Concept.
its got something to do with fractions.........
I think you should visit this site that reveals the character (which bobbym certainly is!) that you're thinking of, and suggest that one of their questions asks for the character's age.
I tried the link for Paul Morphy and Sonu Nigam and it ....
But the page is really colorful and the Genie acts well

P.S. gee... it's looking much better now!
i guess i know the importance of Variables in Maths!!!
can i have a colored π??
let's try..
red π
green π
blue π
π
i'm loving it!
π π π π
i didn't know this!!
#5. Did you know?
FORTY is the Only number which has All its Letters in Alphabetical Order!

ok.. i see...
and i guess this can give you the required graph...
however.. i'm not really sure!

I guess, he means to say that when u add all the small rectangles of the sine wave then you get a sine wave which has double the wavelength, instead of getting the cosine wave!
can u GRAPHICALLY SHOW How and Why is the Integration of sine wave is a Cosine wave??

I can only say phrontister along with Jane and Tiggy are my favorites to post to.
It took me a long while finding "Tiggy". I googled it and came across >>Chiggy-Wiggy<<
I didn't know we had Tarzan and Jane over here!
well... I guess i know phrontister who's been posting on this forum for quite a while!!
What is the Next Number btw??
Hi!!!!
Didn't exactly mean it like that. I guess you know what I mean.
hmmm... I'm not sure bout phrontister but i guess i know wat u meant there?!!

4+3+9+4=20 ?
-4+3+9+4=12 close
(4+3+9)/4=4
4/3+9/4=43/12
4+3/9+4=25/3
and i've already tried enough... good nite!!
Ha Ha LOL!
Thanks buddy!!
i'm on my way home right now... will see ya later!

hi ganesha!
that's crazzzy!
they are not multiples of 13 anymore!
yeah... i guess you need proper sleep bobbym!
good night!

The difference between 5012 and 6123 (ie, 5012 raised by the Victor Borge Constant) = 1111......and 11+1+1 = 13.
And, what's more (moreover), is that 1111 factorizes into 11*101...and 11+1+0+1 = 13.

hmmm... where did we lose it???
yeah.. last night i thought for more than an hour over the problem figuring out the difference between A's and B's statements.
humorously enough, its similar to tha phrontister's "extra $2 and the missing $" problem!
Hey... bobbym!!!
... the price they charge is the cost ( or penalty ) then ...
yeah.. that can be a case!! but it sounds ridiculous!
... P(3) = 69 sold ...
Since the factory manufactured them this implies a loss of some amount when they don't sell the product. B assumes a loss of x dollars as he states, his solution is based on that assumption. If their is no loss on each product then there is no maximum. Since the question does not indicate what the loss is, it is not possible to determine a maximum price.
The profit is "Maximized or Minimized" depending upon the "No. of Dinners sold" which is "Dependent upon the price x".
If you sell dinner at price 2, then the profit is P[sub]2[/sub] = 2*(78-3*2)=144.
If you sell it at 10, then the profit is P[sub]10[/sub] = 10*(78-3*10)=480. (P
If you sell it at price 5, then the profit is P[sub]5[/sub] = 5*(78-3*5)=315.
If you sell it at price 15, then the profit is P[sub]16[/sub] = 16*(78-3*16)=480.
hence.. P[sub]2[/sub]<P[sub]10[/sub], P[sub]5[/sub]<P[sub]10[/sub], P[sub]10[/sub]=P[sub]16[/sub] and so on.
thus... Different prices offer different profits to the factory (even though there is no loss on the products)!
this is coz the profit decreases with an increase in the price!!!
B is wrong if he thinks that the unsold dinners are a loss...
Its a typical case where there's no question of loss but of profit only!
Q: You and I buy a slice of Cheese each at $10. I sell it for $100 and you sell it for $50
only.
Wud you say you made a profit of $(50-10)=$40 or a loss of $(100-50)=$50 (had you sold it for $100)??
see the difference.....?
Hey.. bobbym!!
At the months end, unsold dinners will be bought back at regular price by the factory.
so the factory must have first sold it for x. I mean, u cannot buy back without selling it first.. right?
and thus B is wrong in subtracting 3x[sup]2[/sup]?
