A machine grades apples according to their masses. Apples with a mass exceeding 125g are rejected as too large and apples with a mass less than 75g are rejected as too small. A large batch of apples is graded and it is found that 10% are rejected as too large and 13% are rejected as too small. Assuming a normal distribution, find the mean mass of a randomly chosen apple from the batch.

Plz help coz I don't even understand normal distribution..

you can have a line with length of negative one when u draw it in the negative side of the graph. one instance is the trigonometric quadrants where third and fourth quadrants have triangles of negative length.

is it possible to put in complicated geometrical shapes into MS Word without manually drawing them?? eg put a pair of parallel lines or put in angle

#35 Re: Help Me ! » Indicies » 2009-12-20 19:47:00

8= 2³,

since a^b÷a^c=a^(b-c),

2^8÷2^3= 2^(8-3)
              = 2^5

so n=5

Hi bobbym,

P(5.5,6.5) is the correct answer. How did you arrive at it?

#39 Re: Help Me ! » Co-ordinate Geometry » 2009-12-08 16:46:37

uh ya.=)

how to do part b)?? there's many ways of solving it but any idea of which is the simplest to understand?

Three points A(6,10), B(-2,4) and C(h,-4) form a triangle ABC.
Midpoint of AB is M. The line through M meets AC at the point such that AP:PC=1:3

a)Given that AB=BC and that h is positive, find h

b) Find coordinates of M and P

c) find area of the quadrilateral BMPC.

For b),How to find the coordinates of P and what's the fastest way?

if the game is well-protected then you can't hack your score. but i think you should be able to change the speed of the game. to do this you

1.open cheat engine,
2.click on the icon that looks like "a computer",
3.then they will say "Select Process" if you don't know what this means then you click Window List. 4.Then scroll down until you see the window of the game then double click.once you done that, ur back where you started.
5.next find the check box that says "Enable Speedhack". Check that box and the computer will lag for a short while.
6.once the speedmeter comes out below that heading, change it to whatever ratio you want it to be.

e.g i want the game to be two times slower than normal speed so you key in 0.5 and press Apply.

making the game go extremely slow lets u think a strategy before the rows even fill up..

#43 Re: Puzzles and Games » Thanks but no thanks ... there must be a stragety ... Help! » 2009-09-01 23:28:26

During the early levels they score big points?? the rows fill up slower than the higher levels. so they earn many points in the early levels.

if it's impossible to get 100K++ then they must be hacking.
