Is it all over for Kramnik or are we gonna see him as next Bobby Fischer soon??
Next match, Round 7, on 23rd October 2008.

Another way to state that is..
No. of 5's in 2008! is
[2008/5]+[2008/5^2]+[2008/5^3].... where [..] is a Greatest Integer function.
Congrats to India's Vishy Anand on winning game 3 with black pieces in 41 moves against Russian Vladimir Kramnik in the 12 game World Cup Chess Classical 2008 in Germany today!!
The first two games ended in dead Draws. With this spectacular win Anand leads with 2 to 1!
Will he make it??
Best of luck to him....
Just read the post... Nice patterns up there Jane!!
Another one...
How much is -40 degree Celsius in degree Fahrenheit??
If we take that A, B, C and D CANNOT take values of 5, 4 and 3 then we get (A, C) = (1, 2) or (2, 1) ; B=9 and D=1
Hence, A+B+C+D=13 !!
Well.. I didn't guite get it! Please explain HOW? Is it some kinda joke? Is the "thate" in the end a typo mistake or is it written purposely??
THANKS!!
Solved!!
Ans: 8
There's one more minute thing i've found.. The number of 2s in (2^n)! is 2^n - 1.
But i don't see how to use it...
Oh! I forgot to state that x & y should be even except when one of them is 1 !!
What I have found out is that x and y should both be even numbers!
I'm working it out further though.. I guess it also makes use of "all powers of a given prime number in x!". I guess, if we can equate the powers of 2 (as both x and y are even) in LHS and RHS, we're done!
Aah! Got it!
When running towards the thief, the relative speed of dog is 60-40=20 kmph and when running back towards the police, the relative speed is 60+50=110 kmph!
Now, the total distance travelled by dog i.e. 720 km is travelled with two speeds of 20 kmph and 110 kmph in 12 hrs! Let x be the time for which he runs in the thieves direction!
Hence, 110(12-x)+20x=720
x=20/3
Therefore, distance travelled in the direction of thief is 60*20/3=400 km !!
Its 10 am here... Gotta go to college now!
Well played! Applause...
You're a piece down in the second game...
Ha! You are Arduous! Nice play altogether...
