find the slope of the line that passes through th epoints (1,4)and(-1,6)
i have to the same way in this problem liek they did in that example?
Find the slope of the line that passes through the points (-3,5) and (-5,-8).
First find the slope: m = y1 - y2 / x1 - x2
m = 5 - (-8) 13
----------- =---- = 6.5
-3 - (-5) 2
Using either point: (-3,5)
Remember the form: y - y1 = m ( x - x1)
Substitute: y - 5 = 6.5 ( x - (-3))
y - 5 = 6.5 (x + 3) Ans.
the start looks a bit hard but the middle and end seem ot be very easy
thanks
oh ok .
that wasnt that hard as i thought it was thanks
no the way i wrote it thats how the problem is written.
r over 1 + 4
and 4 over u
3
-------------
2s + r
----------
1 + 4
----
u

the sum of the digits of a two-digit counting number is 5.
when the digits are revversed , the number is27 greater than the original number.
what are the two numbers?
2. i^3 = -1
3. i^0 = 0
4. i^19 = -i
5. 1
this is so easy
i^1 = i
yeah right now i dont have calculus.sorry
seems like you like doing calculus
hi thanks for the welcome everyone
and yeah the book's title is advanced math but its mostly algebra geometry and mix
Oh thanks alot for the help.
yeah that was a bit nasty i was checking in my book to see how tehy did it ...and then tryed the same way on this problem ...didnt work. i dont know why
anyways thanks
solve by completing the square:
3x^2 + x = -5
subtract x form both sides...
Hi Patrick
