Percentages

I need to work out what the overall score would be if

65 counted for 40% of the overall and 66 counted for 60%

and

counted for 40% of the overall and 68 counted for 60%

How do I do this?

Re: Percentages

for the first one, the answer is:
65/40 x 100=
65/2 x 5(40 gets cancelled by 20 so it beomes and 100 becomes 5 for the same reason)
then 65 x 5/2=
325/2=162.5

the second answer is:
110(same method)

the third one is not clear

the fourth one:
113.33 ....... it goes on

Re: Percentages

To work out an overall score, multiply individual scores by the percentage that they are associated with, then add them up.

For your first question, the overall score would be 0.4*65 + 0.6*66 = 65.6%
For the second one I think you've missed out a bit.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
