Hello,
I am from grade 9, our Math teacher has given us a task of making a project.She says the project can be about anything but it must be creative and it must show some effort put into doing it by you.
However, even after racking my brains for days I haven't been able to get a good creative topic on which I can create a project.Could you guys help me out by suggesting a good creative topic?
Thanks.

Hi adarshnet;
Welcome to the forum! Toughest question I have ever tried to answer. What math do you like and what math are you being taught?
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

err....I don't think you have exactly understood my question.....I need a topic upon which I can create a 'model' . Like some invention or something.
Could you suggest something else?

Your math teacher wants you to create a physical model?

I guess you could say so.
All she said was 'Do a project on something creative,something different,something which is unusual'. She also said that it is not necessary that it must be 100% math, it can include sciences too....

Well again, how much math do you know? Do you like electronics? Can you work with your hands?
Cause these are the most interesting things I have seen recently ( last couple of years).
They are connected with the life sciences and require a minimum of everything.
Guaranteed your teacher never heard a word of any of it.
1) Colloidal silver generator.
2) Battery powered bacteria zapper.
3) The uses of 35% H2O2 on plants, animals and humans.
4) Recent techniques in Integration with computer algebra systems.
5) The life and inventions of Nikola Tesla see 1) and 2)
6) Triple the strength of your wifi router with a straw and some wire.
7) A super potato gun. Potatoes aquire massive electrical charges and are whirled around in super powerful magnetic fields until they achieve 1/3 c.
Then they are tangentially launched at tanks, battleships, shoppers...

Thank you for putting up a list on what I can do as a project, I will surely check them out
Thanks again.

Hi adarshnet;
A couple of those are really new territory. "Professional scientists" will not even look at them so it is just right for amateurs to step in and grab the glory.
Be sure to remember your safety first rules whenever dealing with chemicals or electricity, soldering irons etc.

I sure will remember that safety comes first......

Glad to hear that. If you choose one of them or something else come back and post how you did.
