Resolve Ps weight into mgcos60 parallel to the slope and mgsin60 perpendicular to the slope.

This second force is counteracted by the normal reaction of the slope.

The force down the slope gives Ps acceleration.

P:  the acceleration down the slope is g.cos60 = ½ g

That will give you u.

Then v = u + at

I was wondering why they took 5 ms[sup]-2[/sup] instead of 10 ms[sup]-2[/sup].
