Hi SlowlyFading!
In problems 6 through 10 put one of the binomials above the other and multiply as you would in
arithmetic. Then add like terms (the x terms for these problems).
Example: #8
3x -6 . .
8x+2 . .
------- ----
6x -12 . . is the pattern like in arithmetic.
2 . .
24x -48x --------
--------------- . . .
2
24x -42x-12 (adding the two lines above this line)
Try this with 6, 7, 9, and 10.
I hope this helps. Hang in there!
Writing "pretty" math (two dimensional) is easier to read and grasp than LaTex (one dimensional).
LaTex is like painting on many strips of paper and then stacking them to see what picture they make.

hi SlowlyFading,
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've been away for a few days so I hope this help is not coming too late for you.
What I suggest is you copy the part answers I've shown here and try to fill in the gaps.
Post back all the lines of your answers and I'll check those before we move on to the remainder.
? shows something is missing.
Q1.
Multiply both terms in the bracket by 3x
Now simplify each term.
Q2.
Multiply both terms in the bracket by -6x^2
Now simplify each term.
Q3.
(You can simplify the terms in the bracket first, but, looking at the other questions, I think it best to stick to the general method here.)
Divide each term by 3x
Simplfy each term.
Hope that helps,
Bob

I don't have time to write the new answers.
I've submitted them to my teacher though and they're correct!
I'm about to go make a new post!
