Need advice
I have absolutely no experience with programming, but I want to start. Any advice on what to start on and how to start?
When ever I see a brand new new math problem, I want to solve it. Then I want to burn it. Then I want to rebuild it in a new, more streamlined way.

What do you have access to, what languages, programs, etc?
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

If you want to go with python, there are whole courses teaching python and computer science in general on edx.org from MIT
