Hi;

You have already posted this on at least 2 other forums that I am a member of.

They have identified it as homework. Since most of them are professors or teachers they should know. Perhaps if you would show what you have already done then someone could add a bit more towards a full solution.

Update: I have found this problem on a site which has posed it as an ongoing contest.

Is it a contest problem? If so, you will have to do that one by yourself and not with the help of others.

You are asking for the optimal strategy, the contest is asking for the optimal strategy. How is that different?
