I have a question?

I made a 154 on my GED official practice Test and I made a 140 on the real test. I don't understand why I didn't pass the real one? any help?

Hi Sarah;

What was the passing grade? Will they let you test again?

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.

The passing grade was 150 or more. And yes they will let me test again.

Re: I have a question?

Can you do more practice tests before you re-sit ? There will always be some variation in your marks from one attempt to another.  Would you like to practise some questions on MIF?  If you say what topics cause you difficulty I might be able to make some up.

They used to make you wait 6 months before you could retest, is that still the rule? By the way, I took the GED when I was about your age, it was the most grueling thing I ever had to sit through so do not be discouraged.

Bob is quite right here and also real exams are more stressful so you (and everyone else) will always do a bit worse.

Re: I have a question?

If you do an internet search you will easily find the GED site.  It will take a bit of finding on their site but they do include a page showing what you are supposed to learn and also a link to a short practice test.  The 'official' practice has to be done from a recognised centre and is only available to paid up students.  But I easily found another site that offered a free practice test.

If you check out the list of what you should be able to do (the syllabus), then you can decide what you need to work on.  We will help with that.  There is a time limit before you can re-sit.  But I forget what it is and I cannot find the page again gggrrr!
