Algebra Problem
Need help in figuring this out:
Find all values a for which there exists an ordered pair (a,b) satisfying the following system of equations:
a + ab^2 = 40b,
a - ab^2 = -32b.

I am getting:
(a = -12,b = -3), (a = 0, b = 0), (a = 12, b = 3)
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
