Combinatorics Formula for x+y+z?
I was just contemplating this- is there a general formula for approaching problems such as "find all ordered pairs to the equation x+ y+z=q, where x,y,z and q are positive integers.".
The integral of hope is reality.
May bobbym have a wonderful time in the pearly gates of heaven.

Yes, there are many ways to derive it but EM is the fairest of them all.

That is a generating function and it allows one to do many combinatorics problems in a computational way.
