If you pick a random card from a deck of playing cards, what is the probability it is not a heart?
Let me see.
There are 13 hearts in a deck cards.
H = probability of selecting a heart.
P(H) = 13/52 = 1/4.
I think if we subtract P(H) from 1 it will show the probability of not selecting a card.
So, 1 - 1/4 = (4/4) - (1/4) = 3/4.
I say 3/4 is the answer.
