Factor each polynomial completely. If the polynomial cannot be factored, say it is prime.
Problem 120; page 58.
x^3 - 3x^2 - x + 3
Group A = x^3 - 3x^2
Group B = -x + 3
Factor both groups.
Group A
x^3 - 3x^2
GCF = x^2
x^2(x - 3)
Group B
GCF = -1
-1(x + 3)
x^2(x - 3) - 1(x - 3)
(x^2 - 1)(x - 3)
(x - 1)(x + 1)(x - 3)

It looks like my factoring skills are still there more or less. I feel confident. As you know, factoring is the key to success in algebra.
