I have no idea yet except 2 - But don't write it in yet as I could be wrong!
88 - 79 = 9 (the number at the bottom on the left-hand side)
27 - 16 = 11 (the number at the bottom on the right-hand side)
11 - 9 = 2
This was just a wild guess...but then again, what about the rest of the numbers?
Only thing I can tell you is that it is a 1-digit number.

It has to do with adding up the digits of the numbers.
So the 56 at top left is 5 + 6 and the 88 is 8+8, and then 11+16 is 27
Are you sure the bottom has two diagonal lines or just one to the answer?
Because you get a 2-digit number now, but if you remove one of the
diagonal lines, you get a 1-digit number.

Yep I am sure it is correct the way I have it written the two lines from the 11 is what I can't understand. Unless its 1+6 = 7 + (3+1) = 4 ---- 7+4 = 11.
I dunno...

Don't write equations like that It's rather (1+6)+(3+1)=11.
And yes, it seems like it's a two-digit number, and not 1-digit.
Bang postponed. Not big enough. Reboot.
