company produces scarves and sweaters; scarves take 2 hours to produce and sweaters take 14 hours to produce; available labor is 40 hours per week; total productions capacity is 5 items per week; write a system of inequalities representing the situation; where x is number of scarves and y is the number of sweaters; then graph the inequalities. I am thinking x+y<=5 and 2+ 14 <40 is this anywhere near correct???

Almost perfect I think. Just multiply by the variables x and y, so 2x + 14y <= 40, I think.
The x + y <= 5 looks right. So ysweater is either 0, 1, or 2.
If ysweaters is zero, then xscarves can be 0 to 5, taking zero to ten hours.
If ysweaters is one, then xscarves can be 0 to 4, taking 14 to 22 hours.
If ysweaters in two, then xscarves can be 0 to 3, taking 28 to 34 hours.
