I need some real time applications, where we use the perimeter of parallelogram.

What about running around a parallelogram-shaped road? I don't know where you live, but in my town not all blocks are rectangles. Some blocks are parallelograms or even trapezoids!
Actually I never watch Star Wars and not interested in it anyway, but I choose a Yoda card as my avatar in honor of our great friend bobbym who has passed away.
