Suppose we have some (x,y) data and analyze it using the Excel linest() function. The data is expected to fit the theoretical relationship:
Y = K1*X + K2,
where K1 is theoretically expected to have the value 0.75 and K2 is expected to have the value 0.50.
Upon analysis of the data, the linest() function returns the following result:
0.66 0.70
0.10 0.15
0.95 0.26
What is the experimentally determined value of the slope returned by linest? ______________________

I don't own MS Office or Excel or Word,
so I tried reading on internet, but can't
figure it out yet. I think you have to
put your x and y data in two columns and
then select a dark rectangle on the
data and somehow make the linest
function go, I don't know how, but
then you get the answers which is
the 6 numbers .66 .70 .10 .15 .95 .26, but
I don't know what they mean...
Try F1 help in Excel, and get to
the Index with the tabs that
stick up, and type linest and
click OK and see what you can
read on this.
