Find all values x = a where the function is discontinuous.
f(x)=x^2-36/x+6

do you mean:
(x^2-36) / (x+6)

or:
x^2 - 36/x + 6

or:
x^2 - 36/(x+6)

or something else?

without brackets, or any form of formatting it is impossible to know.

Well, if there are no brackets then it means this:

In which case, it's discontinuous at x=0.

That has a discontinuity at x = - 6

Check this page. 2 / 3 of the way down is a problem exactly like yours.
