Write an equation with the given information and explain your reasoning.
Slope is 7/6 through the points (-6,8)

Hi Spanky;
Using slope form y = m*x + b, where m is the slope.
y = ( 7 / 6 ) x + b when x = -6 y = 8 so substitute and solve for b.
8 = ( 7 / 6 ) (-6) + b
8 = -7 + b
b = 15.
The equation is y = ( 7 / 6 ) x + 15
