Turn to your Venn diagrams. Draw two circles inside a rectangle with some overlap. Label the bigger circle L and assign .7 to it. Label the little circle K and assign .4 to it. The overlapping part gets a .3.
P(L) + P(K) - P(l intersect K)
.7 + .4 + P(l intersect K) = .8
P(l intersect K) = .3
Assign a .t to the recatangle that does not contain the 2 circles. You are done!
