Evaluating a sum

Hey,

I have been working on this problem for quite a while, but can't find a solution:

I'm looking for a solution of P. I'd appreciate any hints or suggestions!

Re: Evaluating a sum

Hi Candide

I need to know more.  What part do x, beta and M play in this?  Is it OK to regard them as constants?

Re: Evaluating a sum

It looks like a problem of Radon-Nikodym Derivative.

X'(y-Xβ)=0

Re: Evaluating a sum

Hi George,Y;

I was looking at that when discussing Martingales. I do not see the similarity. To me it is definitely a probability problem nothing more. That does not make the sum any more tractable unless you are handy with the snake oil method.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
