His latex if that is what it is, is incomprehensible. Think that those are reasonable guesses but he might have a mistake with the x also.

That is my point. Are you sure you have copied the problem correctly?
See the x in the numerator with the box around it? With that x there I do not recognize the integral.
I had to use a computer. Without the x it is easy! When I say easy I do not mean some silly substitution.
I mean there is a precise mathematical reason why the integral can be evaluated by sight!
If this is a school problem I am willing to bet my favorite mustard that x does not belong there!
