I am sorry, but I need some help.
Find the slope of the line whose equation is 7x - 2y = 4.
I remember finding the slope via using the points but I do not remember this at all.
How do I begin?

You could easily generate 2 points from that and we will next. But first I will ask you if you remember your point slope form of an equation.

Yes. I remember that, but I do not remember how to use it.
Also, there was another one that went like this: Ax + By = C
Is that applicable here, or will we just be using the y = mx + b?

That is the general equation of a line in 2D.
Can you manipulate yours into the point slope form or do you need help?
