Well...

Well what? Do you not like this one?
It has a fraction in it, so if you want to skip it then by all means say so. I won't object.

Nope! Well... means where is the answer.
A fraction is not a monster from outer space. Give it a try and I will help you through.

Well say so next time!
(2x - 1/2)^2
(2x)² = 4x²
2(2x)(-1/2) = -2x
(-1/2)² = 1/4
= 4x² - 2x + 1/4?

Aw man! Well... which part did I make a mistake on?

If you had made a mistake I would have said darn close, remember. Are you really misheeru? Odd that you do not remember that? Hmmmm....
The answer was beyond "darn close." It was correct.

Alright... How about (0.1x + 0.4y)²?

Hey, that is a cute one. I like it. It is bodacious. It is BoDerek. I will tell you what it is not. Answered!

Sorry, I had some stuff to do...
And how can a problem be cute??
Either way the answer I got was
(0.1x + 0.4y)²
= 0.01x² + 0.08xy + 0.16y²
Darn close?

That is correct! Very good. Yes, I know, you were probably cheating on me with another moderator for 3 hours. If I find out who he/she is they are dead.
I have a problem for you.

I most certainly was not. If you must know I had chores, I made some food for my dad and my mom when she got home from work, I had to lay down for about half an hour because my head was killing me and I was dizzy and then I picked up my sister from school and had to do some cleaning.
Oh... great. Just what I needed.

Okay, then I will not tell you how much that answer is killing me. It was a like putting a hot needle through both eyes. If you need a break then , it is okay, take it.

Its okay, you don't have to hold back. I know I am no good and that I fail at all things math related and I know I am no good with fractions, most of all. And yes, I also know I am a pessimist.
I am here aren't I? If my condition worsens I will leave, but for the meantime I will try not to abandon you again.
Now hurry up and tell me what I did wrong.

You treated the fractions like they were not there. They did not enter into your calculations. Let me decide about whether you are no good or not. You are not capable of making that decision. Never judge yourself! Let others do that.

Fine. What do you think? Go ahead. Be honest. I will not cry.
And what do you mean? Did I multiply it wrong?

Yes, you will cry. You did not multiply. How about doing foil one piece at a time or do you want to do what your other problem is.
