Hi;
Adjusted error spotted by BB.
You 3 x 4 = 12 ways to get home.

hi
tram, train, ferry or another bus
Shouldn't that second bus make it 3 x 4 ?

Hi Bob;
Eegads, there is another bus! It is 3 X 4 = 12. Thanks for spotting that.

How are you?
In England we usually wait ages and then they come along in threes!

Hi Bob;
Recovering from the flu and back problems, but okay.
I feel this is a difficult case. I know people need help. But not to the point where they can not even stand up by themselves. Just blindly answering questions in this case is doing much harm.
This poster has had his questions answered by several people. But I have yet to see any of his own work. Nothing to gauge his progress by. What did you do in cases like this when you were teaching?

hi bobbym,
Sorry to hear about the flu and back. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Sounds like you may have to leave off the women for a while!
Yes, I agree. Just doing someone's homework does them no educational good. It might 'get them off the hook' with their teacher, but then the work only gets harder and they are stuck again!
Usually, I like to ask a question back; such as 'Where are you stuck?' or 'Show me one that you can do, so I can see where your difficulty is.'
I once was asked by someone to help them with algebra; just that; no narrowing down of the topic. Hhhmmmm. Tricky!
I'm always happy to help but I need the poster to meet me part way.
I gave a lot of thought to my signature; that about sums it up, I think.
