Review of Applications of Linear Equations

Hey am doing a review on liner equation i was wondering if somebody can help its in correct i want somebody to help me correct it

12. An electrician charges a 45.00 dollars travel fee plus 30.00 dollars per hour of labor. Let y be the cost in dollars for x hours of work. Write the slope-intercept form of the equation.

12- y=45X+30

y=45(3)+30 is what my answer was my online teacher said it was incorrect help please

It is incorrect I'm afraid. 

The 45 is a fixed charge.  The 30 is a charge that goes up with 'x'.  So swop the numbers around.

That's it. 

I've just completed a graph that shows the slope goes up 30 for every hour across. 

The intercept is at 45.

i was wondering if i did the rest of these questions correctly

13. Using the equation from number 12, if the electrician works 3 hours on a job, how much will the bill be?

13- y=30X+45
    y=30(3)+45
    y=90+45
    y=135

14. Using the equation from number 12, if you have a budget of 300.00 dollars for this job, what is the most full hours the electrician can work? Note: You want the largest number of hours without going over your budget

14-   300=30x+45
       
        255=30x
       
         x=17/2
