summation set or list

Why isn't there a word for
the set of numbers to be
added together in a summation?
And what is the name for
each number in the list
to be added?  For example,
with vectors, we have a
word called "components"
or "projections", but for
regular scalar numbers,
I can't think of the word
for a number that is in a
sum of numbers.  Am I having
a mental block?
