Not exactly. Compared to your dad who really loves you by supporting you and caring for you, I do very little. I answer for you a math question when you need one. That is not a very great thing

I would suppose because they think you are too young yet. They only want to protect you. Good parents are a little bit on the tough side with that issue. There will be millions of chances for you later.

That is a possibility. He is right! The world is a hard place. It can be mean and dirty. It takes a lot of training from parents to make a young person ready for the world.

I have been mugged, beaten up and left in the street and I am a very strong man. Sometimes they come at you 4 or 5 at a time. They can get anybody down then.

There are other problems in the world too that are just as bad. That is what parents are for, to train you to live in the world and survive. Listen to them!
