Can I do this?

Hi all.  am I allowed to do this when using the change of base formula?  Thanks in advance

In a word:  YES.

There's an equals sign where you meant + and a missing RHS next, (obviously just typos)

But then it all sorts itself out nicely. I've checked the working and the answer and it's ok by me.
