normalization

what does mean by normalization .

like ( sum of  all values )/total  number of points .

That mean normalization . what does that mean ?
can some one tell me via vitalization about  normalization refer to what thing ?

Hi model;

It has several meanings, sometimes it means to scale data so that the maximum and minimum are 1 and 0. Or it can mean to scale a probability distribution so the integral of it is one. Or it can mean to form a set of basis vectors that have unit length. Those are all I can think of.

This maybe a similar problem to your complex plane post.

It seems like you've miss something that your teacher said.

( sum of  all values )/total  number of points

That's the mean average.

Normalization might come a lot later where you try to fit a 'normal distribution' curve to a set of numbers.

But there would be many steps between 'mean' and 'normal'.
