Hi all I have no idea how to start this equation the exponential equations I have done so far were all more or less the same (becomming a quadratic equation which made it very easy to solve X)

hi Deon
you should divide by anything.you ought to group stuff up here:

Hi;
2 is only one solution. There are others in the complex plane.
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Hi Anonimnysteffy Thanks a lot I understand what happens now.
Can you please show me what you mean by I should group stuff?
Should I break it up like

Hi Bobbym I think that's a bit above my level at this stage...
Thanks anyhow for the reply

Hi;
That's good, cause mathematica says these are also solutions:
Where n is any integer. I was having trouble duplicating exactly how it came up with that.

We took these types of equation and how to solve them in Secondary level in School.
But I dont remember exactly how we continued with it.
Just what I remembered:
1- You have to try some numbers to place them in "x" to get 0
2- Then youve to divide this number with x example x in 1 was 3 ==> So you devide by x-3
3- Youll get Stage 1 equation mltiplied by Stage 2 Equation.
4- You have to convert the Stage 2 Equation into 2 Stage 1 Equations.
The answers will be like this form :
x±ax±bx±c=0 ---> Then x would be either a,b,c after negating them. Is possitive then they should be negative, and if negative then possitive.
Hope that helps.

hi
i'm not sure ,but i don't think that's how this is done.can you explain what you meant a little bit more clearly?
