Would you explain to me just - step by step - how I convert Si(3pie) into a decimal?
Thank you.

Hi StrollingBy;
Is this what you mean?
In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.

Yep...that's what I mean. By the way, how do you produce the mathematical sign on Windows for pi? I await your reply with patience.

hi StrollingBy
Welcome to the forum!
Your second question, first.
You can create mathematical expressions by using a computing language called LaTex.
Have a look at http://www.mathisfunforum.com/viewtopic.php?id=4397
The LaTex for a pi symbol is \pi
If someone has used LaTex in a post you can view their code by clicking on their LaTex. The starting square bracket and the closing square bracket are not shown in these circumstances.
Now to the sine function.
Sine is periodic (repeats the same values) with period 2pi so
MIF has made a really good page, introducing the sine function at

This is all laid out in degrees. But mathematicians often use radians rather than degrees for certain problems involving angular measures.
Why? Well that's another post entirely. It may be enough to know that
