I have two parallel lines cut by a transversal. I need to find the lengths of the missing lines.
AB is parallel to CD
BE=1
CD=5
CE=3
AD=7
I have to find what AB, AE, and DE would be
I am not sure how to do this and if anyone could help that would be really great

That is all the information I am given.

The picture drawn is two triangles that connect at a central point E. Lines CD and AB are parallel and are on the outer part of the triangles.

ABE is one triangle and CDE is the other triangle

I just am unsure of how to find the other lengths. If there is a formula to use that could be helpful.

I have another question too, I think I did it right...but I don't know. I haven't done math in so many years.
A right prism has a base in the shape of a regular hexagon with a side that measures 12 inches and a height to the side that measures 6 radical 3. If the sides of the prsim are all squares, determine the total surface are of the prism.
The answer I got was 36 radical 14 + 168 radical 3

You can use proportion.
