Re: Help Me With Gcse Maths

What is happening. Everybody who posts these things here is talking about some blog. Do you think that someone has given an adress that leads here. It is really annoying.

Re: Help Me With Gcse Maths

Hi MJ

A square numer is a number that can be represented as a product of two same natural numbers. For example:

36=6*6 so it is a square number;

64=8*8 so it is a square number too;

81=9*9 so it belongs to the square numers as well.

Re: Help Me With Gcse Maths

Hi Stefy Mandy here I think these are the right  question bob bundy is talking about so Question 1, 2 and 3 are?

Questtion 1

The following are the first six numbers, written in order of size, of a pattern.
3,8,17,30,47,68

(a) Which of these numbers are:

(1) odd numbers
(2) prime numbers
(3) multiples of 2

(b) Look at the six numbers above again. The difference between the first and second number is 5,between the second and third 9,and between the third and fourth is 13.

(1) Work out the difference between the fourth and fifth.
(2) between the fifth and sixth.

(c) Use the above results to work out the seventh and eighth numbers in the siries.

(d) Write down an explanation as to how you found these numbers.

(e) Use a similar method to find the next two numbers in the following pattern:

1,4,14,31,55,86

Question 2

Use your calculator to fined the values of:

(a) 0.1615 x 0.34

(b) 0.001615 * 0.034

(c) 28.243 *2.6 to 2 dec. places

(d) 0.25 * 4.5 to 2 sig. figures

Question 3

Calculate the following without a calculator (show all your working):

(a) 3.5 x 1.6

(b) 0.16 x 0.03

(c) 0.48 * 0.3

(d) 12.5 * 0.25

Send me a message back to let me know if I was right or not? and hope you can help me out then?
