New Problem:

We start with the sequence a0, a1, a2, a3,... with a0 being a positive integer and the recurrence

If the last digit of

is 5 or less then that digit is dropped. The process stops when

1) Can you find an a0 that will produce an infinite sequence?

2) An a0 that will produce a finite sequence?

Although the technique to compute such a thing was shown to me 9^9^9 times I refused to understand it. That produced a brain caniption and now I can not understand it. Anyway, I wanted a math solution to it, hahahahahahahahahahahahhahaahh!
