So his probability for throwing a 10 or more is the Dice GF**10 with the terms with x**9 or less power are taken off, you put x=1 and sum over. But what do you do about the other guy?

That is too simplistic. The answer may only use a simple gf but it is not simple to write or explain without doing it. It requires a computer to do the expansions.
