Re: Bafflers?

Let me know if you need to see some pseudocode.

See you in a bit.

Re: Bafflers?

Hi bobbym

I found the bug in the code I wrote and fixed it. It now got the correct answer and I got the decathlete badge. big_smile

Hi;

Very good! The solving of a Euler Project problem is a worthy achievement.

I have about 14-15 for now. Some of them are hard to solve and some of them are just exausting.

Genius is 2% inspiration and 98% perspiration.

A man has to do a lot of sweating before he earns the right to perspire.

If I have done better than others it is because I work on problems a little bit longer than they do.

and some of them are just exausting.

Relish those! When you think you are exhausted, you are not. Call upon your hidden energy reserves, that will make all the difference.

To be the World Champion you do not have to be much better than your opponents. You just have to be slightly better and work a little harder.

Then buy a soda and post a problem. big_smile Not necessarily here, though.

Re: Bafflers?

New problem:

A gets another job after his fiasco. He is asked to solve this problem:

He is asked to get all real roots.

He takes it over to Wolfram Alpha and gets x = 80. He hands that in to the physicists and sits back in his chair and lights up his pipe, another easy math problem he chortles!

The physicists complain to his superior and he is fired again. He runs to B.

A says) I used Alpha's answer and they fired me. Why?

B says) You really are a pure mathematician aren't you. You missed a root!

C says)Kaboobly doo doo! A got all the real roots. Great job A. You could work for me anytime!

D says) What is a root?

E says) A is wrong again. Hate to say it but B is right. Ya missed one and by the the way I would not hire A.

A says) B, are you saying Alpha is wrong? I knew those CAS were garbage, I am suing them for 250 million dollars!

B says) A CAS is like any other tool, you got to know how to use it. You used it like a baby.

C says) Don't you call A a baby! Those are fighting words where I come from.

E says) You and A come from the land of kaboobly doo.

Was A fired incorrectly?

Now to get that soda.
