I'll Come Back Next Year!

This is a joke I found in my old English book....again.

A manager of a huge company was about to hire a university graduate. Here was their conversation:

"Congratulations, Mark! You are hired to this company," the manager announced. "When can you start working?"

"Today. But I've got a question to ask you first, manager," the graduate asked politely. "How much is my salary?"

The manager replied quickly. "You'll start with $5000 each month, but within a year, your salary will raise to $7000 per month."

"Then I'll come back next year," Mark answered, as he quickly took his coat with him.

The manager said one "huh?" and fainted on his desk.

The joke is good, but I've heart it before.

Re: I'll Come Back Next Year!

You thought I was leaving the forums when you read the title? Well, you shouldn't be thinking of that if I post titles like that in a forum like this, because even if I do, it would only be just a joke in this forum.

Think it only serious somewhere else. smile

EDIT: By the way, I'll try getting some more jokes up later.

Re: I'll Come Back Next Year!

Your English book likes people to faint at the end of jokes.

"Why did the chicken cross the road?"
"To get to the other side. Upon reaching the other side, the chicken fainted!"

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
