because 5 x 20 = 100. How do you do long division?

That is not right. 20 can not go into 1. 20 is bigger than 1. Do you understand what I am saying?

If you want to learn how to do division, I suggest you start with what you can do, eg. take aways.
So instead of 100 over 20 how about
"How many 20s can you take from 100 ?"
