Well, is it the same as mine, or not?
And, I think I have found a formula for the numbers in the other thread...

My solution consists of using geogebra with an increment of .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 at this small increment quantum math takes over and even though that is over 10^43 points it is done instantaneously. Then I put the 10^43 values into the spreadsheet and curve fit. Because in quantum math 10^43 equals infinity the fit was exact. Got the same answer you did.

You should have seen geogebra animating through the 10^43 points in no time at all. The GUI changed colors and its shape changed as it warped into the 5 and 6th dimensions. To see the spreadsheet holding 10^43 numbers was truly awe inspiring. In quantum math geogebra is a brute.

Actually, none of that is true. I had the answer from the book. I just had to look at it.

Okay, I will see if I can post one. The other's are not too difficult, you are capable of solving them.
New problem:
A plane moves on the xy plane according to the equation x + x*y + y = 5;
If -13.8 < 2 x + 2 y < 5.8 then the plane will be okay.
A says) That plane is a goner. It will never make the flight.
B says) It is close but the plane will make it.
C say) Computer calculations say A is right. I am not getting on that plane.
D says) What are calculations. I like trains better anyway. If man were meant to fly he would have been born like an ostrich.
E says) I have to agree with B on this one. The plane will remain within safe limits for the entire time. By the way D, ostriches can not fly.
Is the plane okay or is it not. Who is right?

I have to agree with A on this one. Looking at the graph of points whose coordinates satisfy the given equation, I see that the sum of the two coordinates has a minimun of -infjnity and a maximum of +infinity...

Hi;
Supposing the path of the flight was 15x² + 16x y + 10y² = 10
and the safety range was
-2.045983018410 < 2x + 2y < 2.045983018410
what is your prediction then?

New problem:
A right triangle is to be constructed on the top side of a square with sides a making a the hypotenuse. See the diagram. You must find point E. Now BE and EC are in ratio of 3 to 4 and BE and BC are in ratio of 3 to 5. EC and BC are in ratio 4 to 5.
A says) Impossible to determine.
B says) Kaboobly doo, it is easy. You start by...
C says) A is right again. I could not do it so I guess it is impossible.
D says) Right triangle?
E says) I got it too.
Find E and remember it must be for any square and any orientation.

Ummm, is the point E given or ...? The text of the problem is very unclear...
And what orientation have to do with anything?

Hi;
Point E is to be found. When you find it a right triangle will be created with the sides in the given proportions.

What does orientation have to do with anything and since when do you do constructive geometry?
