Is the answer 3 decimal. Places is 01666.6 am I right?
Offline
No that is not right.
It is: 0 . 1 6 7 to 3 decimal places. Since the fourth number is a 6 and this is more (or equal to) 5 it is rounded upwards.
You have also got the decimal place in the wrong place. If we converted the decimal that I have given you into a percentage
what would we have to do? and what do we get ?

I am finding this hard to do? Could you send me some to do for tomorrow then?

Hi mathgogocart mandy here. How do you think I am doing then?

Okay try these:
(1) Convert (3/5) into a decimal and then a percentage ?
(2) Convert (5/6) into a decimal and then a percentage ? (Round your answer to 3 decimal places at the decimal stage.)
(3) Convert (7/8) into a decimal and then a percentage ? (Use full accuracy for this one it should terminate.)

Do have a go at those questions above then and post them here or email them including mentioning anything you are stuck on.

Assuming I have done this correctly the images in this post should show (1/6) as a long division and short division.

Hi steveb mandy here just wondering if you could help me to sort out a homework timetable for ure maths that we do together and make sure I have the right. Equipment should need as well? Send me a message back please to let me know?

Hi Mandy. A couple of questions: (I have hastily edited that post by the way because I have changed my mind about what I wanted
to write.)
Equipment:
How well are my emails appearing in terms of readability etc. ?
Also: are you able to use the "zoom" function on your browser (internet explorer, chrome, firefox etc??)?
I don't want you to spend any money on anything by the way.
I have received some emails from you that have said they were sent by a BlackBerry and I just wanted to check that you are OK
with how well you can see my posts. I know Bob and some others write in a large font using Latex. I can do that, but the trouble
is that it takes me longer to post things that way and I can get in a muddle with it - difficult if you are online at the same time.
