Is it 10% if not then can you tell me the answer please?

Remember the ratio is 2:3
For every 2 tins of red there are 3 tins of blue. What percentage are red? What percentage are blue ?
At one stage we concluded that for 10 tins we had to have 4 red and 6 blue.
Offline
So we have to scale the number of tins up by a factor of 10. Do you want to try again with that information?

Okay look at it this way:
4 red ----------------> Multiply by 10 -----------------> ..... ?
6 blue ---------------> Multiply by 10 -----------------> ..... ?

I will do that one and some more for homework ok? If that is okay with you? And what equipment show I have so I leaner better can you let me know?
Offline
You do not need any equipment.
I think one important bit of homework would be to have a go at the problem we have just looked at try to understand it and
try to get an answer to the above post #904.
I can make up some similar questions if you like and post or email them. Do you want me to do that ?
Also tommorow I can meet up at a particular time. What time is best with you ?

When I say what equipment do I need I mean things like what is the best way to keep your nots ect?

I think you mean "keep notes". I think for now you need to concentrate on understanding it.
Did you mean that you wanted me to guide you through setting up making notes in a Notepad or Word document ?

Of course you have to find a method that suits you. I think it may be best to use some A4 paper and keep it in a ring binder.
I will be in at 7pm so that is probably okay, but I might be a little late getting started, but yes I think that is possible.

Right. On your computer do you know how to load up "Notepad" or "Microsoft Word" ?
I have a start button in the far bottom left corner. When I click the left mouse button a menu comes up and there are commonly used
programs there to load as well as an option for "All Programs". Is it like that on your machine ?

Sorry steveb mandy here. Just to say I have to go out so can't be on here tonight will you be on here tomorrow at what time?
Offline
I am not sure whether I am going out during the morning and afternoon.
So I think the evening would be best. Would 7:30pm be okay?
On the other hand you often have to dash off in the evening so there probably will be a chance to discuss something earlier.
