That is correct. Hardy and Littlewood went about proving most of the stuff Ramanujan sent them and brought with him.

In many ways yes. Some of his discoveries were achieved through experimental methods. It was the same as Appel and Hankens four color proof. I mean it has the same style.

Hmmm, believe it or not we are back to magnetic levitation and what we are discussing in the other thread.
The four Color theorem I believe was posed by Arthur Cayley and concerns the number of colors necessary to color a planar map with no two countries or region sharing the same color.

Not true, a while back a new type of type of material was discovered or delivered that would superconduct at much higher temperatures. The race with not much success for a room temperature superconductor has been on ever since.
