So I have
N=1........n
x1 - x1/N
now somehow this EQUALS ((N-1)/N)*x1
can someone please explain how/why? thank you
I may have done something wrong along the way SO i moved a step back
We have
x - ((1/(x^N-1))*((x^N)/N)
I beg for your time on this, it hopefully isn't too long.
So the two things on the right hand side are multiplied and subtracted from x.
Somehow this is rewritten to equal
((N-1)/N)x
please help
