Derivative of arcsec(1/t)

My textbook keeps saying it is


. Could someone work it step by step and show me how that answer is derived. I would appreciate it because I keep getting lost. Thanks![

Your textbook is correct.

You can start with this page which shows how to get the derivative of arcsec

Then you just use the chain rule.

Now just substitute u = 1 / t and clean up.
