A very peculiar surjection

Hey everyone.
I have a very strange question that I know is true, but seems to be bugging me.

I define

so that it doesn't include 0.
This function is obviously surjective, as in for any y from the codomain there is an x in the domain such that f(x)=y.
Is there a good way to prove it?
