hello

i have a question

s = integration sign

s e^sinx cosx dx

i have

sinx = u

du/dx = cosx

then

s e^u du

du/dx = cosx

du = cosx dx

s e^u du

e^u +c

e^sinx +c

not sure if this is correct, i havent yet read about the latex thing.

Re: volumes of revolution

hi Simon,

Yes, that's correct!  smile

There's a full tutorial on Latex at

http://www.mathisfunforum.com/viewtopic.php?id=4397

Here's what you do:

There are two ways to find out new commands (apart from the tutorial)

One is to go to

http://latex.codecogs.com/eqneditor/editor.php

and construct what you want there.  Then you copy and paste the code between math brackets in your post.

Or, if you see someone's Latex and you want to see how they did it, just click on the Latex and the underlying code is shown.  You can copy that into your own posts.

Please give it a try;  it will make it so much easier to make sense of your posts.  smile
