quadratic formula am i doing right?

Hey im not sure why i get the wrong answer =/ appreciate any advice.

I get x = 2, -5

but the book says x = 2, 1/2

i got everything else right in this section of book but cant figure this one out. The book does say y= not x= which makes me wonder if its a mistake.

Both of you got the 2 but the other root is incorrect.

Hi, you are wrong. In the denominator it should be 2a which is 6 and in the numerator it is b not a plus or minus sqrt 49.

oooo icicic all the other ones the denominator was just 2*1 so i got complacent, and numerator not sure why i put that there
